The previous setup gave us too little flexibility and did not support the kind of personalised guidance we wanted during checkout. I designed and built a custom cart drawer that gave us more control over what appears, when it appears and how it works across devices, especially on mobile. This made it possible to bring useful features like discount visibility and tailored add-on suggestions into the cart earlier, so the cart became a clearer and more supportive step instead of just a technical stop before checkout.
