Prototyping & validation

I use prototyping to make ideas tangible early, especially when a flow, interaction, or structure is still unclear. It helps me move beyond static screens and test whether something actually makes sense in use. That can be a quick flow prototype, a before-and-after comparison, or a more worked-through interaction that helps a team make decisions faster.

What matters to me is not prototyping for its own sake, but using it to learn. I usually work closely with feedback from users, stakeholders, or testing sessions, and use that to refine flows, simplify complexity, and improve clarity. In that sense, prototyping is part of how I validate decisions and make products better over time.

That has been especially important in projects such as Zelfcoachapp and BeterDichtbij, where testing and iteration played a clear role in improving the product, and in concept work like Been, where prototyping helps make product ideas feel concrete and usable.
