Why I would like to help build Ziggo Sport

I am ready for a new step in a bigger product environment, where I can go deeper into one platform instead of constantly switching between very different projects. Ziggo Sport stands out to me because it combines a product I genuinely use as a sports fan with the kind of digital and UX challenge I would really like to help improve.

What makes Ziggo Sport genuinely interesting to me is that this is not a platform I only know from the outside. I use Ziggo Sport myself because I watch football, Formula 1 and programmes like Rondo, so I already know the product as an actual viewer. I know what a Champions League night feels like in the app, what already works, and where the experience still feels too much like linear TV instead of a more digital, product-led platform.

I also feel ready for a new step. In agency work I learned a lot from the variety and from working across many different clients, platforms and questions, but that same breadth is also why I now want to move deeper into product. I would like to work in a bigger company, learn from new people, and focus on one ecosystem for longer instead of constantly switching between very different projects. That kind of environment feels like the right next step for me now.

Ziggo Sport is especially interesting because it combines scale, live content and a product I already care about as a user. The platform has a broad sports portfolio, recently extended the European football rights for years to come, and already feels like something that is still being developed further. That makes it interesting to me not only as a fan, but also as a designer, because it means there is real room to improve how people discover, follow and watch the sport they care about.

That is also why I chose not to only send a message. I wanted to make something that shows how I think, what I notice as a user, and what I would be excited to help improve. The concept is not meant as if I solved the whole platform. It is simply a concrete way to show the kind of product work I would like to do and the kind of contribution I would hope to bring.

Experience

I think I would fit this kind of role because I combine product thinking, UX, interface design and implementation awareness. In my current work I often move between strategy, structure, visual design and the reality of what needs to be built. That made me broad, practical and used to figuring things out, but it also made clear to me that I now want to go deeper instead of wider. I want to spend more time improving one product and one experience, not keep dividing my attention across many unrelated contexts.

The work I enjoy most is where content, behaviour and interface logic come together. That is also why this Ziggo Sport concept clicked for me. It is not just about making the app look nicer. It is about rethinking how people discover live sport, how content should be structured around teams and competitions instead of channels, and how on-demand video can become more relevant instead of feeling like a separate bucket. That kind of product problem suits me well.

I also bring a mix of design and execution that I think is useful in a product team. I am comfortable translating ideas into flows, card systems, structure and final UI, but I also like thinking through edge cases, implementation logic and what actually makes something more useful for the person opening the app. In a platform like Ziggo Sport, where live relevance, rights, editorial content and multiple sports all come together, that combination feels especially relevant.

What I would hope to bring is a grounded product mindset, attention to detail, and genuine involvement with the domain. I am a sports fan, I already use the platform, and I see real opportunities to make it better. That combination of personal interest and product curiosity is a big part of why this role appeals to me so much.
